WRIGLEY FIELD — The jam band Phish will perform at Wrigley Field this summer.

Phish will play June 24 and 25, the first time the band has performed at the Friendly Confines.

Tickets go on sale at noon Feb. 27. Fans can request a limited number of tickets through Feb. 21 to save a spot.

Phish played in Chicago most recently at Northerly Island in 2013. The band's frontman, Trey Anastasio, also joined the remaining members of the Grateful Dead last summer at Soldier Field.

The concerts are the fifth and sixth announced for Wrigley Field's summer concert series. The schedule is as follows:

• June 25-26: Phish (Tickets on sale Feb. 27)

• June 30: James Taylor and Jackson Browne (Tickets)

• Aug. 20 and 22: Pearl Jam (Tickets on sale Feb. 12)

• Aug. 26: Billy Joel (Tickets)

• Aug. 27: Luke Bryan (Ticket sale dates TBA)

The four Phish band members played together for 20 years before going on hiatus in 2004. They reunited in 2009 for several concerts and continue to perform regularly both together and individually.

Known for its mix of psychedelic rock, funk and reggae, the band has sold eight million albums in the United States since 1985 and is known for its top hits like "Run Like an Antelope" and "You Enjoy Myself."

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
