WRIGLEYVILLE — Third time's a charm for Billy Joel and the Cubs.

The Piano Man will return to Wrigley Field as the first artist to play there three years in a row. It's also his record-setting fifth overall appearance at the Friendly Confines.

Tickets for the Friday, Aug. 26, show go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 23.

Last year's unforgettable performance featured an impromptu appearance from Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer, who danced on Joel's piano during "Uptown Girl."

Joel is the third-best-selling solo recording artist in the country, with 33 Top 40 hits. The six-time Grammy winner is known for classic rock hits like "New York State of Mind" and "Only The Good Die Young."

The Cubs also announced that country singer Luke Bryan will make his Wrigley Field debut Saturday, Aug. 27.

Best known for songs like "Play It Again," Bryan's 2015 album "Kill The Lights" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and closed the year as the best-selling country album.

Bryan has produced five studio albums since 2007 and earned the Entertainer of the Year accolade from the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association. Ticket prices and sale dates have yet to be announced for the Wrigleyville show.

In November, Live Nation revealed the first of the four annual summer concerts at Wrigley Field. James Taylor and Jackson Browne will play June 30.

Last year, the summer concerts went without complaint from Wrigleyville neighbors, whose main frustration focused on the AC/DC concert, which took place on a school night in September.

While the concert ended promptly at 10 p.m., some neighbors were irked by the roar of pyrotechnics, screaming fans and rock-'n'-roll.

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the team.
