CHICAGO — Two people have been killed and 10 wounded in shootings since Saturday, police said.

A woman fatally shot a man who police said had broken into her home and was beating her in Woodlawn.

A 34-year-old man was fatally shot while standing outside in Humboldt Park.

In Irving Park, a crash and possible shooting in front of DePaul College Prep left a 16-year-old boy and 21-year-old man dead on Sunday morning. Police originally said the two died of gunshot wounds but later said doctors could not confirm.

Officers shot and killed a man after an alleged home invasion in West Englewood Sunday, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• Most recently, at 5:25 a.m., a man was shot in Austin, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man, whose age was not immediately available, was shot in his right side while in the 5000 block of West Monroe Street.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said. His condition was unknown and further information was not immediately available.

• At 2:30 a.m., a 20-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Austin, Sedevic said. The man was in the 400 block of North Lavergne Avenue when he heard shots, felt pain and realized his left wrist had been grazed by a bullet.

The man took himself to Loretto Hospital, where he was in good condition, Sedevic said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 12:40 a.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was standing on the street in the 2200 block of South Kolin Avenue when a van drove by and someone inside fired shots at the man.

The man was hit in his right arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 11:45 p.m. Saturday, a 39-year-old man was shot in Calumet Heights, Sedevic said. The man was walking into his home in the 9300 block of South Chappel Avenue when he heard loud shots and felt pain.

The man was shot in his abdomen and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Sedevic said.

A white sedan was seen driving away from the shooting, Sedevic said. No one was in custody.

• At 8:55 p.m., two people were shot while driving in Ashburn, Sedevic said. A 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were inside a car in traffic in the 8600 block of South Pulaski Road when people in another car opened fire on the two.

Both victims were shot in their legs and taken to Mount Sinai in good condition, Sedevic said.

• At 6:20 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Sedevic said. The man was driving in the 4100 block of West End Avenue when he heard shots, felt pain and realized he'd been shot in his left leg. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

• At 2:35 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in Grand Crossing, Sedevic said. The man was standing on the corner in the 100 block of East 69th Street when a man walked up to him and began shooting at him.

The man was hit in his upper right abdomen and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. The shooter ran away.

The victim is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 1 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was standing on the corner in the 1500 block of South Kolin Avenue when a man in all black walked up and fired one shot in the victim's direction.

The victim was hit in his right calf in taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in fair condition, Sedevic said. The shooter ran away.

• At 12:30 p.m., a 17-year-old accidentally shot himself in West Englewood, Sedevic said.

• At 11:15 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in West Town, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody unless otherwise stated.
