UPTOWN — The remnants of the Wondrous Furniture store in Uptown were packed into a U-Haul Wednesday afternoon.

The store at 4609 N. Clark St. closed its doors recently after about a year and a half on Clark Street, said owner Ferdi Karagul.

"We're just moving back to our warehouse. The store was doing well, but we do most of our sales online, so the store was just an extra expense," Karagul said.

The store held a one-day closing sale at the beginning of January, according to its Facebook page.

All furniture pieces were manufactured and designed by Decortie, which has been "a top brand in contemporary and modern furniture and décor items since 2009 in Europe," according to its website.
