LINCOLN PARK — A French pastry shop in Lincoln Park is temporarily closed after a fire last week.

The fire started in the furnace at Vanille Patisserie, 2108 N. Clark St., on Jan. 2, causing smoke damage, according to a Facebook post. There were no injuries and the kitchen was not damaged, according to the post.

An employee with the pastry shop said the team is hoping to reopen Thursday morning.

During the closure, the shop will still be accepting pre-orders for pick-up, according to the post.

Folks are encouraged to visit the other location within Chicago French Market, 131 N. Clinton, for walk-in needs.

The Clark Street location opened in fall of 2013.
