LINCOLN PARK — Vanille Patisserie, a French pastry shop, is opening its third and largest location on Clark Street in Lincoln Park this fall.

Sophie Evanoff opened her first Vanille Patisserie location in 2002 at 2229 N. Clybourn Ave. and has since expanded the business to the Chicago French Market in the West Loop.

The newest location, which will encompass 1,200 square feet, is under construction at 2108 N. Clark Street.

Evanoff is bringing an element of custom cake design along with the new shop.

Vanille Patisserie will offer private cake consulting by appointment at 2108 N. Clark Street, and will have a "luxurious tasting room."

The Clark Street location will also feature a 22-seat espresso bar and a decorating room where guests can watch pastry chefs create tarts, handmade chocolates and candies, croissants and the city's largest assortment of macarons.

Evanoff plans on opening the new location in late October or early November, according to Chicago Magazine.
