NEAR WEST SIDE — Who would spend $4,500 on an Adele ticket? Someone like you?

Adele swings through Chicago for a series of concerts in July, and the tickets that went on sale Thursday morning are already gone.

But there's still a chance you can snag tickets to the sold-out shows, as long as you are willing to shell out beaucoup bucks. Tickets to Adele's July 2016 concerts at the United Center in Chicago are now being sold for thousands of dollars by online scalpers.

While Ticketmaster wouldn't allow customers to purchase more than four tickets at a time, tickets to Adele's three sold-out shows on July 10, 11 and 13 at the United Center reportedly sold out instantly, frustrating die-hard fans.

But just minutes after the sell-out showing, the tickets, originally priced at $39.50-$149.50, were being resold by scalpers online. On eBay, lower bowl tickets near the stage (section 114) were listed for sale for $4,499.

Tickets on Stubhub were listed as high as $4,410 Thursday, which includes a center stage view from row 11 on the venue's floor. The cheapest tickets were being sold for around $300 on the website Thursday.

Tickets to Adele's North American tour went on sale to the general public Thursday.

In an effort to prevent tons of tickets from ending up in the hands of scalpers, Adele partnered with Songkick, a site that specializes in ticket sales through artists’ websites and fan clubs. In Britain, Songkick sold 235,000 tickets through her website, Adele.com, blocking 53,000 sales to likely scalpers in the process, according to the New York Times.

Adele's North American tour kicks off July 5 in St. Paul, Minn., before heading to Chicago.

The singer's "25" sold nearly 2.5 million copies in three days, breaking *NSYNC’s long-held record for most album sales in a single week.

This isn't the first time scalpers have jacked tickets up to exorbitant prices in Chicago. In July, someone listed two three-day passes to the Grateful Dead shows at Soldier Field for $116,000.
