PILSEN — A man was seriously injured early Tuesday after being hit by a freight train in Pilsen, police say.

The 26-year-old man was hit by a Canadian National train at about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of South Loomis Street, Chicago Police confirmed. The man's leg was severely wounded.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
