CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were injured in a shooting in the Near West Side Friday night, according to police.

Both men were sitting in a parked minivan in the 2300 block of West Washington Boulevard at 9:10 p.m. when someone in a passing car opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 20-year-old man was struck in his right foot and went to Rush University Medical Center, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. The 21-year-old was grazed in the back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

Police could not say the extent of their injuries.

The 20-year-old is a gang member, police said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Pacheco said.
