LINCOLN PARK — After its wildly popular debut last year, BrewLights — the combination of ZooLights and seasonal beer — is back again this year.

For one night only, on Dec. 2., ZooLights will turn into BrewLights from 5:30 - 10 p.m. That means there will be a dozen varieties of beer for people to drink while they wander around Lincoln Park Zoo and admire all of the colorful lights.

Last year, the sold out event was so popular that tickets were selling for more than three times face value on Craigslist.

A spokeswoman for the zoo said the max capacity for this year's BrewLights is 5,000 people, which is the same as last year. That's to ensure that lines are manageable and everyone can sample each of the beers, she said.

Here's the beer list:

• 5 Rabbit Cerveceria Super Pils

• Anchor Christmas Ale

• Around the Bend Beer Puffing Billy

• Baderbrau Red Velvet

• Begyle Brewing Crash Landed

• Berghoff Rowdy Root Beer

• Brauerei Hirt Morchl

• Delirium Noel

• Noon Whistle Brewing Cozmo

• Stiegl Goldbrau

• Temperance Root Down Porter

• Unibroue La Fin Du Monde

At BrewLights, people will be able to take photos with Santa at the Helen Brach Primate House. There will also be music at the Kolver Lion House and free rides on the carousel.

Advance tickets, which can be bought through Dec. 1, cost $50, while tickets on the day of the event cost $60. Designated drivers can get in for $15. The event is for guests 21 or over.
