LINCOLN PARK — The hottest ticket in town tonight isn't for a seat inside the United Center, but for a chance to cruise the chilly zoo grounds with a beer in hand.

Craigslist was full of posts from people looking to buy and sell tickets to Lincoln Park Zoo's first ever BrewLights for over face value Wednesday morning. One seller was looking for $200 for a pair.

All 5,000 tickets to the event were sold out by Monday, according to Jillian Braun, a spokeswoman for the zoo.

Paul Biasco says tickets are selling for over three times face value:

One Craigslist poster begging for a ticket used fear tactics to persuade possible sellers.

"....are you sure you really want to freeze your buns off at BrewLights? Let me help you out — I will buy your ticket from you so you can relax and drink beer in the comfort of your warm and toasty home, while I freeze my buns off at BrewLights."

Tickets to the event started at $35 through Nov. 9, and were raised to $40 until they sold out. The zoo originally planned to sell tickets at the door for $50.

The special event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of ZooLights will feature a dozen varieties of beer at several taps throughout the zoo grounds.

Each guest will be able to try 4-ounce samples of each beer.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and beer sampling begins at 5:30 p.m.
