CHICAGO — Four people died and 20 were wounded in shootings across the city between Friday and Sunday, police said.

Most recently, around 6:25 p.m Sunday, a 26-year-old woman was walking in the 10700 block of South Indiana Avenue in Roseland when someone walked out of a nearby alley and shot at her before running off westbound, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where she was listed in serious condition with a gunshot wound in her abdomen, Sedevic said.

Police said the woman was standing next to a documented gang member at the time she was shot.

Earlier Sunday, around 12:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man and a boy whose age police could not immediately determine walked into Roseland Hospital with puncture wounds from a BB gun, Sedevic said.

The two were walking in the 11600 block of South Lowe Avenue in West Pullman when someone fired a BB gun out the window of a passing black car, Sedevic said.

The man and the boy were both listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

Two people were killed, including a 14-year-old boy, and eight were wounded in shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, according to police.

Before that, police said, shootings left two men dead and nine others wounded between Friday and Saturday.
