LITTLE VILLAGE — A 22-year-old man was shot in his back in Little Village Thursday afternoon, police said.

Around 3 p.m., the man was standing in the 2700 block of West 24th Street when someone pulled up in a car, got out and shot at him, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was "stable," Sedevic said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
