WEST LOOP — Naf Naf Grill plans to open a restaurant in Presidential Towers in 2016, company officials confirmed Thursday.

The fast casual restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern food will be located on the ground floor in Presidential Towers at 555 W. Madison St and will likely open in January 2016. Though a few months away, the grand opening will include a food giveaway and other festivities, said Sahar Sander, the company's co-CEO.

Naf Naf Grill's menu features authentic Middle Eastern eats, including shawarma, falafel and oven-baked pitas and salads.

The new restaurant will be Naf Naf's 15th location in the Chicagoland area, including three downtown locations. After securing private equity investment this summer, Naf Naf Grill has plans to expand into new markets, including Madison, Wis. and Minneapolis, Minn. The chain plans to have 22 locations up and running by summer 2016.

David Sloan, the company's co-CEO, said he never dreamed that their first restaurant, opened in a former Taco Bell restaurant in Naperville six years ago, would grow through the city, suburbs and beyond.

“We get just as excited about every new grand opening as we did with our first location. It never gets old," Sloan said. "We are totally pumped for the Presidential Towers location with its new look and feel."

The recently moved into a new corporate headquarters at 720 N. Franklin St. in River North.

The four towers at Presidential Towers house 2,346 rental apartments.
