HYDE PARK — Hales Franciscan High School is raising money through song.

The school at 4930 S. Cottage Grove Ave. will hold a benefit concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at the school.

Milas J. Armour III and Friends will perform starting at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $50 and available by calling Herbert Hill at 312-504-1937 or James Warren at 773-206-4009.

The school has been trying to raise $250,000 over the last six months through a GoFundMe campaign. A total of $15,710 has been raised so far.

The money will go towards paying staff salaries and operating expenses for the school.

State Sen. Kwame Raoul (D-Chicago) contributed the proceeds from his annual basketball tournament, that this year included U.S. Secretary of State Arne Duncan, to the Catholic school.
