WEST LOOP — Modern Indian restaurant Naansense is opening a second location in the West Loop.

The new fast casual restaurant, located at 113 S. Clinton St., is slated to open in early November, a company spokesperson said.

Led by chefs Hiran Patel, a veteran of Bombay Spice and Klay Oven, and Sahil Singh, formerly of Hot Chocolate, the restaurant will offer a modern take on traditional Indian food with Chipotle-style ordering. At the counter, customers choose from a naanwich, bowl, roti rolls or salad options, and then add protein, sauce and vegetables. The main menu items generally cost $7-$10.

Naansense's West Loop menu will also include masala fries with curry mayo aioli and mango lassi. The restaurant will grill meat and make sauces from scratch in-house and will offer vegan and gluten-free options.

The restaurant is named after naan, the oven-baked flatbread that is a staple in west, central and south Asia. Naan served at Naansense is freshly basked in a traditional Tandoor oven.

The company opened its first location in the Loop in February 2014 and also operates a food truck.
