LAKEVIEW — After permit delays pushed back the opening of the third Stan's Donuts and Coffee, a grand opening date is set for next week.

Stan's Donuts will open Oct. 10 at 2800 N. Clark St., the company announced Friday. The first 100 customers will receive a mystery gift envelope — one of which contains a grand prize of free doughnuts for life.

The East Lakeview store will offer up to 35 varieties of doughnuts, including old-fashioneds, fritters and twists. It will also have Stan's signature pockets flavored with options like peanut butter, Nutella and Biscoff cookie butter.

Intelligentsia coffee and Nitro cold brew will be offered along with tea, cappuccinos and housemade soft-serve gelato. Gelato doughnut sandwiches, cones and sundaes will be offered year-round.

Stan's Donuts will be open 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week and later on weekends.

Stan's was originally supposed to open at 2800 N. Clark St. in April — and then, later, June — but permitting issues delayed the remodel, it said online. It will replace the Jamba Juice that closed in 2014.
