CHICAGO — A man was shot in Addams/Medill Park on the Near West Side Wednesday evening, police said.
At 8:47 p.m., the man was standing in the park in the 1400 block of West 15th Street when a man rode up on a bicycle and started shooting at him, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his abdomen and buttocks, Pacheco said. His condition stabilized there.
No one is in custody, Pacheco said.
