CHICAGO — Two people are dead and eight others are wounded from shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, police said.

Two 24-year-old men were shot, one fatally, in the Near West side early Sunday morning, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

An hour earlier, a 19-year-old woman was shot to death after a fight broke out at a party in Woodlawn, Sedevic said.

A 14-year-old boy was hurt in a driveby shooting in Humboldt Park late Saturday, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

About an hour before that, two men were shot in West Town, Alfaro said.

• Most recently, at 3:35 a.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were leaving a party in the 100 block of North Latrobe Avenue in Austin when a fight broke out and someone fired shots, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition with gunshot wounds in his chest and back, Sedevic said.

The woman was taken to Loretto Hospital, where she was in stable condition with a graze wound in her leg, Sedevic said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 1:10 a.m., a 17-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of South State Street in Grand Boulevard when a group of men walked up and shot at him, Sedevic said.

The teen was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound in his lower back, Sedevic said.

• At 4:35 a.m. Saturday, Chicago Fire Department responders found an 18-year-old man unconscious in the 2100 block of North Laramie Avenue in Belmont Cragin, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Community First Hospital with what paramedics believed was a laceration in his head, Sedevic said. At the hospital doctors realized his wound was caused by a bullet.

The man was transferred to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was in critical condition, Sedevic said.
