HYDE PARK — Police have arrested a 20-year-old man from Englewood for a shooting that wounded three people in Woodlawn on Aug. 14.
Araell Ross, 20, of the 6500 block of South Paulina St. was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Ross is being charged in connection with an incident in which three people, two of them teens, were shot around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 on the 6100 block of South Kimbark Avenue by a man in a passing car.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in his left hand and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, police said. A 16-year-old boy was shot in his neck and taken in Stroger Hospital. A 24-year-old was shot twice in his abdomen and taken to Northwestern Hospital, police said.
Police said all three victims are documented gang members.
