5 Things To Do Outside Today: Jazz in the Grazz, Dolphins in the Park

CHICAGO — So, it's a little chilly for July. What are ya gonna do? Grab a coat and get outside.

1. Swim Free, Dude: "Dolphin Tale 2," which tells the story of a group of dolphin-lovers who reunite to help Winter, whose future — and flippers — is in peril again, will be shown under the stars as part of the Chicago Park District Movies in the Parks series. Starts at about 8:30 p.m. at Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave. Free.

2. It’s a Hard Knock Life: Dolphins not your thing? The almost universally panned 2014 remake of the classic musical “Annie” that may be so bad it’s good will be shown outside as part of the Chicago Park District Movies in the Parks series. Starts at about 8:30 p.m. at Portage Park, 4100 Long Ave. Free.

3. Namaste: Perfect your Half Moon Pose under the stars as part of a yoga class in Chicago Park District Night Out in the Parks events. The session runs from 7:15-8 p.m. Wednesday at Norwood Park Circle Park, 7177 W. Peterson Ave. Free.

4. Jazz in the Grazz: Jazz vocalist Milton Suggs will perform tonight as part of Chicago State University's "Jazz in the Grazz" concert series. Attendees are welcome to bring a small grill or picnic and enjoy the music in the grass near the Jones Convocation Center. Starts at 6 p.m. at Chicago State University, 9501 S King Drive. Admission is $5 and parking is $5.

5. Read Outside With Your Young Bookworm: Community group Friends of Andersonville is hosting its first summer reading program for kids Wednesday outside of Women and Children First. Registration begins at 4 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m outside the bookstore, 5233 N. Clark St. Meetings will be held every Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. through August. Free.
