
WEST LOOP — A new Freshii will open this summer in the West Loop, the company's president confirmed Tuesday.
Owners will open a new Freshii restaurant in The Madison at Racine development, 1164 W. Madison St., later this summer, said David Grossman, president of Fresh Food Management, the company that owns and operates Chicago's Freshii locations.
The health-conscious chain serves salads, wraps, burritos, juices and more, according to Freshii's website.
Construction on the Madison restaurant is slated to begin in July and the new location in scheduled to open late this summer.
The new 1,600-square-foot location is expected to seat 25 inside and offer seating for an additional 25 guests outside during warmer months, according to a spokeswoman.
Freshii already operates a restaurant at Presidential Towers, 26 S. Clinton St., in the West Loop.
In March, Freshii announced plans to open in the Ogilvie Transpiration Center, 500 W. Madison St. in the West Loop, and at 233 N. Michigan Ave., this summer.
The Madison at Racine, a luxury rental development, celebrated its grand opening in January.
