Hawks win! Hawks win!

At least when it comes to beards and the opponent is the Anaheim Ducks.

The Wall Street Journal looked at the remaining NHL teams and judged their beards (an NHL tradition is that players stop shaving when the playoffs begin.)  Both teams have ten "full beards."

But the Hawks pull ahead by having eight "light beards" and only one clean-shaven face compared to Anaheim's six lights and three cleans. The beard-iest team, however, is the Rangers with 13 full beards and no clean faces.

Who's the babyface on the Blackhawks?

Teuvo Teravainen, 20, of Finland, who told ESPN earlier this month that he's been "trying hard" to grow facial hair. "Maybe next year," he said.

"Maybe I need some American pills to get it growing," he added.

He shouldn't feel too bad about it though: Both Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews were once named to worst beard lists earlier in their careers.

Meanwhile Hawks are participating in the NHL's annual Beard-a-Thon, a fundraiser. The fan who raises the most money growing a beard for charity will win four tickets to a regular season game next season. See here for more details.
