ROGERS PARK — Pub 626 has taken the place of Bullhead Cantina's now-defunct Morse Avenue location, marking the third restaurant in about three years to call 1406 W. Morse Ave. home.

But it's only the second business owner in that time.

Colm Treacy originally renovated the storefront and opened MorseL there with partner Mary Ann Culleton in 2012. About a year later, the business was sold to Paco Ruiz, who opened the second location of Bullhead Cantina.

Then, last month, Ruiz sold the business back to Treacy, who on Thursday opened Pub 626, which refers to a few of the numbers in the area's 60626 ZIP code.

The pub serves standard pub fare with a southwest flair.

Appetizers include wings, onion rings and Cuban black bean dip. A few quesadillas are also served, as well as salads, pasta and fish and chips.

The pub is open from 5-11 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays.

Treacy also owns Glenwood Bar, which has been listed for sale since October.
