PILSEN — Thousands of Catholics descended down 18th Street in Pilsen Friday morning to celebrate a special Good Friday tradition.

The Living Stations of the Cross reenact the final days of Jesus Christ with several scenes along a procession.

The Pilsen Via Crucis march began at Providence of God Parish, traveled along 18th Street to Harrison Park before ending at St. Adalbert Parish. At St. Adalbert's, Catholic Archbishop Blase Cupich said a special closing prayer ahead of the Easter holiday Sunday.

Check out our photos from the procession in Pilsen Friday.
