NORTH CENTER — Prepare for a bumpy ride along Damen Avenue as street resurfacing is scheduled to get underway Friday.
Work on the stretch between Diversey and Belmont avenues will include work to make sidewalks wheelchair-friendly, curb and gutter removal and replacement, and bus pad construction, followed by milling and paving of the asphalt surface.
"No parking" signs will be temporarily installed as needed, restricting parking during working hours.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of May, according to Ald. Scott Waguespack (32nd).
