CHICAGO — One man is dead and at least seven others have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday, police said Saturday morning.

• A man was shot and killed and another was wounded in a nightclub in the South Loop early Saturday.

• In Dunning, a 28-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting early Saturday.

• In the most recent shooting, a man was shot on the Near West Side early Saturday, police said.

Around 1:50 a.m., a 29-year-old man was standing in the 1300 block of West Randolph Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The man was shot in his thigh, back and left elbow, and an acquaintance drove him to Rush Hospital. He  later was transferred to John H. Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, Estrada said.

• Five minutes earlier in Logan Square, a 27-year-old woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a car in the 2000 block of West Fullerton Avenue when a sedan pulled up and fired shots, Estrada said.

The woman suffered graze wounds to both legs, then got into her own vehicle and drove herself to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where she was expected to be treated and released, Estrada said.

• Several hours earlier, a 23-year-old man was critically wounded after being shot in Austin Friday.

At 7:15 p.m., the man was sitting in a vehicle in the 5300 block of West Jackson Boulevard when another vehicle pulled up and someone got out of the vehicle and fired shots, Estrada said.

The 23-year-old was shot in his groin and hip, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical conditions, Estrada said.

• In South Chicago at 5:55 p.m., a 23-year-old entered a store in the 3200 block of East 87th Street and got into an argument with another man there, Estrada said. The second man then pulled out a gun and shot the 23-year-old in the chest. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
