CHICAGO — One person was killed and at least six others were wounded in shootings across the city since Wednesday morning, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday during a fight in Belmont Cragin.

In the most recent nonfatal shooting, a 65-year-old man was shot in the face in Dunning.

At 6:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man walked into the University of Chicago Hospital with a gunshot wound in the back, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man told police the shooting occurred in the 4300 block of South State Street in Bronzeville.

He was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital and listed in good condition.

In Woodlawn at 2:15 p.m., a 46-year-old woman was sitting in a parked in the 6200 block of South Kimbark Avenue when she heard shots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The woman was shot in the left hand and right arm and taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition, Estrada said.

At 1:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man walked into West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with a gunshot to the foot. The man told police he was shot in the 5500 block of West Washington Boulevard in Austin, Estrada said.

The man was listed in good condition.

In Chatham at 11 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in the shoulder in the 1000 block of East 81st Street, Estrada said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized, Estrada said.
