CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was wounded by gunfire in Woodlawn Friday night, police said.

Around 7 p.m., the boy was shot in his leg in the 1500 block of East 61st Street, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital and listed in good condition, Zala said.

Police said the boy was a documented gang member.
