RIVER NORTH — Pi Gallery Bar, a new restaurant with a rooftop deck and pizza oven planned for the space at 738 N. Clark St., will open March 20, the restaurant announced Thursday.

The rebranded former Gallery Bar hopes to court a "swankier crowd" than its graffiti-themed predecessor, though it will still feature and sell art, according to general manager Nick Martaus.

Martaus said he's aiming for an "unpretentious" vibe at the bar including eclectic music, craft cocktails and film noir on TV. The new bar will also feature a wood-fired pizza oven, second-floor patio lounge and a rooftop deck that will open during the warmer months.
