CHICAGO — Construction on the Peoria Street bridge will cause lane closures on the eastbound Eisenhower Expressway to close this weekend, the state Department of Transportation said.
The left lane of eastbound I-290 will be closed from Ashland Avenue to Halsted Street starting at 11 p.m. Friday, and again at 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday.
The construction is part of ongoing work for the Jane Byrne Interchange, reconstructing bridges over Morgan Street, Halsted Street and Peoria Street.
