Two Wounded in Shootings Overnight

CHICAGO — Two people were hospitalized in shootings Tuesday night including a 33-year-old man shot in Little Village.

Around 6:37 p.m., the man was walking in the 2700 block of South Tripp Avenue when he was shot in his stomach and back, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Pacheco said.

Around 8:40 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in the 600 block of East 131st Street on the far South Side, Pacheco said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in critical condition after being shot in his chest, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for either shooting.
