CHICAGO — A 22-year-old woman was shot Monday night in Pilsen.

Around 8 p.m., the 22-year-old woman was shot in the chest while she sat inside a car in the 1800 block of South Leavitt Street, said Chicago Police spokeswoman Janel Sedevic.

The woman was able to drive herself to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.

Charges are pending against an 18-year-old man in connection to the shooting, Sedevic said.
