RIVER NORTH — Bottled Blonde, a pizzeria and craft beer concept, will open in the former SushiSamba Rio building this summer in River North.

The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based restaurant has signed a lease for the 14,000-square-foot space at 504 N. Wells St., building owner Sean Conlon said Monday. News of the new tenant arrives about six months after SushiSamba Rio closed.

This is the second restaurant for Bottled Blonde, an Italian-inspired eatery that serves wood-fired pizzas, "artisanal" salumi and craft beer, according to its website. The menu also includes craft cocktails and homemade Limoncello.

"It has all the elements of everything River North is and will continue to be," Conlon's Commercial Managing Director Marcus Cook said.

A representative of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Evening Entertainment Group, which owns Bottled Blonde, did not immediately return a message.

Cook said Bottled Blonde signed a long-term lease and will open this summer. Conlon paid $6 million late last year for the building.
