CHICAGO — Two people were stabbed and nine people were shot over the weekend, including a 13-year-old shot and killed in Belmont Cragin, police said.
Around 10:35 p.m., the 13-year-old boy was killed while walking with a group in the 6000 block of West Grand Avenue, police said.
Two men were shot in separate incidents Sunday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon, police shot a man who tried to run over an officer with his car in West Pullman, police said. Early Saturday morning, two men were stabbed in Irving Park, police said.
From Friday night into Saturday, at least five people were wounded in shootings across the city.
