ROGERS PARK — Howard Street's Foot Locker closed last month, but there's no shortage of shoe shops in the small stretch of the neighborhood.

Rogers Park and Evanston blog Chevanston Rogers Park spotted workers removing the Foot Locker sign at the Gateway Shopping Centre storefront, 1731 W. Howard St.

To the east, however, sneakers for sale can be found at Villa, J-Bees, P & J Footwear, Athlete's Foot, Payless Shoe Source and Laced Up.

A Foot Locker spokeswoman didn't respond to a request for comment.
