ROSCOE VILLAGE — Noodles & Company is opening its newest Chicago location in Roscoe Village Monday.
The fast-casual eatery joins Meatheads and Chipotle among the tenants of a strip mall plaza anchored by Mariano's, situated a stone's throw from Lane Tech College Prep High School, DeVry University and the former 19th Police District headquarters, which now houses Area Three detectives.
Since it was founded in 1995, Noodles, headquartered in Colorado, has grown to more than 400 restaurants in 32 states.
The Roscoe Village spot, 3336 N. Western Ave., is the ninth Noodles in Chicago.
Though the chain's menu boasts pastas, sandwiches, soups and salads "inspired by cuisines from around the globe," its top-selling dish, according to the company, is good old mac 'n' cheese.
