CHICAGO — A man robbed a bank in Ukrainian Village Friday evening, according to the FBI.
The PNC Bank at 2100 W. Chicago Ave. was robbed around 4:45 p.m., according to an FBI spokeswoman.
The man was described as white, about 5-foot-10 and wearing dark clothing and glasses.
The incident was a "non-takeover" robbery, which is when a robbery is carried out in a quiet manner that does not get attention, the FBI spokeswoman said
"Others in the bank are often not even aware that a robbery is occurring," she added.
Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to contact the FBI's Chicago office at (312) 412-6700.
The FBI released photos of the robbery suspect Saturday. He is also suspected in an attempted robbery of a Wicker Park bank earlier this month; the robber fled before carrying out the heist.
No other further information was immediately available.
