Man Attempts to Rob Wicker Park Bank, Gets Cold Feet, Flees: Police

CHICAGO — Authorities are looking for a man who attempted to rob a Chase bank branch in Wicker Park Friday afternoon.

Authorities said a man entered the bank at 1959 W. Division Street was robbed about 4:45 p.m., and handed the teller a note demanding money.

But police said the man "got scared and ran out the door" before going through with the robbery.

He is described as a white man, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing a grey cap, grey scarf and a black coat.

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to his capture. Anyone with information can call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
