CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting in Burnside early Friday morning, police said.

The shooting was at 1 a.m. in the 700 block of East 92nd Place, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

A dark-colored SUV pulled up to him and someone inside shot the teen in his arm and hand, she said. The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The incident followed a Christmas Day of four shootings, one of which was fatal. The incidents included:

• A 29-year-old man shot in a 11:20 a.m. robbery in the 5500 block of South Shields Avenue in Englewood; the man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
