CHICAGO — Seven people have been shot in incidents across the city since Christmas Eve.

The latest shooting occurred during an armed robbery in Englewood, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

A 25-year-old man was walking in the 6000 block of South Carpenter Street about 2 a.m. Thursday when he was approached by two robbers.

They shot him in his leg and left with his cell phone and jacket.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

In other shootings:

• In Pilsen, a 23-year-old man was shot in his head and was dropped off at Stroger Hospital, where he is in critical condition, Greer said. Police were unable to interview the man at the hospital due to his injury. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of South Ashland Avenue at 11 p.m. Wednesday.

• Two people were shot at the 95th Street Red Line station Wednesday night.

• A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in Beverly.

• In West Englewood, a 28-year-old man was shot in his hand at 11:35 a.m. while in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street, Greer said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he is in good condition.

• In West Garfield Park, a 25-year-old man said he was walking down the 4100 block of West Wilcox Street when he was shot in his head and left knee at 11 a.m., Greer said. He was dropped off at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is in guarded condition.
