
CHICAGO — Here's your menu for the weekend before Thanksgiving. It features a whole lot of sweets. Seafood, too.
• Glenn Fahlstrom, the man who started the popular Ravenswood restaurant Glenn's Diner, is back in the fish game. Fahlstrom's Fresh Fish Market opens this weekend in Lakeview with half-priced specials. Fahlstrom's will have daily chalkboard specials and "seaplates," smaller portions of fish paired with two sides. There also is a fish market where customers can take home fresh cuts daily.

• A popular Lincoln Square sweets shop has moved south for the winter. Amy's Candy Bar is spending a six-month stint in Hyde Park, stocked with the handmade confections popular at the original location. Stop by for meringues, dark chocolate-sea salt almond toffee and dark chocolate-dipped orange peel.

• A 480-square-foot box in Irving Park that serves up big barbecue flavor is now serving cookies. Located at 4009 N. Albany Ave., smalls Smoke Shack is now serving brown butter sea salt cookies.

• Eli's Cheesecake is hosting its biannual dock sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at its shipping dock, 6701 W. Forest Preserve Drive. The sale features special "dock buster" products, cheesecake samples and sale prices on regular merchandise.
