EAST GARFIELD PARK — Rugby fans can catch the USA Rugby team practicing a day before its Soldier Field matchup against New Zealand.

The practice preview will be presented in combination with free health screenings at Quest Multisport, 2641 W. Harrison St., from 3-7 p.m. Monday. The Eagles will practice from 3-5 p.m. Monday at the complex.

The practice preview and health screening are presented by Astellas Pharma in combination with the Men's Health Network and USA Rugby team.

Health care professionals will administer screenings for conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension and body fat at the event, said Catherine Bocke, an Astellas spokeswoman. Men can also get a blood test to screen for prostate cancer.

The screenings are free and available to men and women 18 and older. Bilingual health care workers will be on site.

“Just as rugby players take ownership of their individual performance on the field, we’re challenging the larger community to take ownership of their personal health," said Nigel Melville, USA Rugby chief executive officer.

Screenings also will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Solider Field Fan Zone at the southeast corner of Solider Field before the Tuesday match.

The USA Eagles will take on the New Zealand All Blacks in a sold-out match at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Soldier Field.
