JEFFERSON PARK — Fall fests, fundraisers and a job fair for a new grocery store are on tap for this weekend throughout the Far Northwest Side.
Saturday
Eli's Cheesecake will host a Halloween Fest with cheesecake games for the whole family from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, accompanied by free hot chocolate. In addition, a fair will take place featuring Halloween decorations and birdhouses from Backyard Bed & Breakfast as well as soaps and body products from Underground Soap Bakery.
The Chicago Riots Junior Roller Derby team coach will host an old-fashioned bake sale from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Replica Chicago, 4425 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Shop & Save Market, which will take over the shuttered Dominick’s at Devon and Nagel avenues, is accepting applications for positions in all departments, will accept job applications from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
Resurrection College Prep High School will host an adults-only fall fest from 6-11 p.m. Saturday at 7500 W. Talcott Ave. featuring the band 7th Heaven.
Edgebrook resident and artist Kara Cobb Johnson will discuss her work on the Neighborhood Connection Mural at LeHigh, Hiawatha and Kinuzua avenue from 7-8 p.m. Saturday.
The Danny Did Foundation will host an Evening of Hearts and Hugs to raise money to fight epilepsy from 6-11 p.m. Saturday at the Jean Marie Ryan Center at Misericordia, 6300 N. Ridge Ave.

The last Jefferson Park Sunday Market of the season will take place from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave.
The Portage Park Farmers Market will hold a special market from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave.
The Chicago Park District will host a pumpkin patch from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave.
The annual Portage Park Dog Park Committee Halloween dog costume parade and costume contest will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave.

Filament Theatre Ensemble will host a Beatles-themed tribute concert after the final performance of "The Monster in the Hall" at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Filament's Six Corners home, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave.
