PILSEN — More than 30 neighborhood galleries will open to visitors during the Pilsen East Artists' Open House this weekend.

The 44th annual event kicks off runs from 6-10 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday along six blocks near 18th and South Halsted streets.

In addition to the more than the 30 galleries in the Chicago Arts District, private artist residences, studios and workspaces will open as part of the open house. Visitors can view and buy art, enjoy performances and curated shows, and stroll through the gardens of the Chicago Arts District.

Maps and more details about the self-guided walking tour will be available at the art walk's information center at 1821 S. Halsted St.
