UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — The Caribou Coffee on the UIC campus has closed.
According to a sign posted in the shuttered shop at Maxwell and Halsted streets, the store will reopen as a Peet's Coffee and Tea location.
"After many wonderful years, this Caribou Coffee is now closed,' the handwritten sign read. "Please come back and see us when we reopen in fall 2014 as our sister company, Peet's Coffee and Teas!!"
