LINCOLN PARK — Eddie Bauer is opening its only store in the city Thursday in Lincoln Park.
The clothing retailer is leasing 6,700 square feet on the ground floor of the former Borders bookstore at Halsted Street and North Avenue, which has been completely renovated.
To celebrate the opening, the first 250 customers will receive an Eddie Bauer pop-up light. The retailer is also offering customers a chance to win a $150, $250 or $500 gift card through Sunday.
Eddie Bauer closed its store at 600 N. Michigan Ave. in late January, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Other new tenants in the building include Design Within Reach on the second floor, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and Sur la Table.
