Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Girl, 14, in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO — Police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenage girl near Humboldt Park Saturday morning.

The girl was walking westbound in the 2800 block of West Division Street about 12:15 a.m. when she was approached by a man.

He tried to start a conversation with the victim, but when she refused, he grabbed her, took her to a secluded area and sexaully assaulted her.

Marco Geronimo-Ocampo, 29, of the 1000 block of North Avers Avenue, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 500 block of North State Street. He was charged with one felony count of criminal sexual assault and one felony count of kidnapping.

He is due in court Monday.
