CHICAGO — At least four people were shot, one fatally, in daytime incidents on the city's West and South sides Thursday, police said.
In one shooting, two children whose ages are unknown, were shot while in the 0-100 block of West Root Street in Grand Boulevard, police said.
A boy was shot in his thigh and a girl was grazed in her thigh. The shooting occurred at 3:10 p.m.
In a separate shooting, two women were wounded, one fatally, in a shooting in West Garfield Park.
