ANDERSONVILLE — The future of a proposed Andersonville taco spot is uncertain after the owners of the building put it up for sale.

Marigold Indian Restaurant closed in 2013 and was replaced by Bull Horns Taco Bar. When that closed shortly after opening, the owners said they would open a new taco restaurant, Market Taco, in the building.

The would-be site of Market Taco, 5413 N. Clark St., is owned by a corporation headed by former Marigold owners Jim Dragatsis and Sandeep Malhorta.

Market Taco was supposed to open in the spring. But the building is now listed for sale with a $139,000 price tag.

Dragatsis wrote in a Facebook message that his company is "still working on some things for that space," but would not elaborate.

The idea for Market Taco was for a "global taqueria" with "Mexican favorites but then also global street tacos, tequilas, bourbons and beer, simple but solid food," Dragatsis said in March.

He and his partner said they closed Bull Horns in March because of problems with another business partner.

They closed the popular Marigold restaurant in August.
